(I think this might actually be working!)So that was my project yesterday afternoon/evening after running errands in the morning.
Then this afternoon I tackled the fireplace. We had decided to go for a antique leather faux finish on it. So while John took the boys, I started glazing and then stippling off the chocolate brown color. UGH!!! It was HORRIBLE (should have taken some pictures of it *cringe*)!!! Not only was it not looking right, but then the stinking stipple brush kept loosing its hairs in the paint on the wall! YUCK! Definantly wasn't working. So, since John was napping downstairs with the boys, I made the executive decision and ended up painting the fireplace in the chocolate color only. I figured that would at least cover the horrid stippling and then we could decided later if we wanted to attempt different finish. Here is the before and after pictures with its fresh coat of chocolate paint (helps to tone down the pink tones in the other walls):

Now we don't know if we are going to attempt another faux finish or just leave it like this.
Flooring: UGH!!! We are still waiting on the wood to come in. John called them a couple of times on Friday...they are saying late this next week now - something about the kilns were broke. Soooo...I guess we won't be getting our floors done next Saturday either. *sigh* Looks like we will be shooting for the last Saturday in March now (31st - same time the countertop should be in) to begin the floors. So our garage will be over taken with building supplies for awhile longer. John ran to Lowe's Friday night and got the countertop ordered as well as picking up all the other supplies (sink, faucet, paints, storm doors, shower door, etc.), so all those things are taking up John's side of the garage. Sounds like we are in for rain all week so the poor guy will have to go out in it every morning to get in his car. Thankfully it shouldn't be snow (too warm for it).
Week ahead: Should be a slightly busier week than normal. Drew gets a haircut Wednesday, and then the boys go to have their Easter pictures taken Thursday. And since there won't be floor work happening on Saturday, I guess I will be painting our other bathroom on the main level and then tackling clean up around here a bit so they will be able to GET to the floors. I REALLY need to work on being a better housekeeper. I was doing fairly well when we first got married. Now it gets a quick cleaning when someone comes over. HOW PITIFUL! BAD WIFE/MOMMY!!
Quick Kid Update: Drew had an awesome day yesterday!!! He was pretty obediant (for him) and he used his potty all day!!! This morning started off rough for him, but he did go ALL day with out an accident (even during nap time)!! Zach is slowly getting the hang of eatting. He has tried carrots, sweat potatoes and squash...and moved on today to green beans. He has also learned how to get up on his hands and knees! The only thing, instead of crawling forward he just keeps scooting backwards. Makes he so frustrated when he is trying to get to something. Won't be long before he is crawling though! He continues to work on sitting up, doing fairly well, but still not great at it. Still won't roll over...only does it when he isn't really meaning too (ie. is reaching for a toy and just accidently rolls, or when he is throwing a fit and flips himself over ...that REALLY makes him mad then). What a kid!
Ok, since it is already after 1am, I think I better get myself off to bed! No wonder I am having such a terrible time staying awake during the day. I REALLY need to start getting to sleep earlier.
I leave you with one of the before/after pictures of the kitchen. I can't wait to be able to share the pictures after the floor, countertop, etc are installed!!!

I love all the photos! It all looks great. Especially the bathroom, I love the bathtub! The fireplace looks good too, and I think the kitchen paint color looks very warm and inviting!
Congrats on the potty training -- wish mine was going as well, sigh!
