Happy 1st Day of Spring!

Well, winter is officially over and today brings us into Spring. Boy does it feel like spring out there today! Coming home from Drew's hair cut this morning, the van showed that it was already 70 degrees at about 10:30am! I think it is suppose to get up into the mid-70's by the end of the day. The storms we were having off and on yesterday have moved on and given us a gorgeous mostly sunny day, although it is pretty windy out there. From what the weather forecasters are saying, we better enjoy the sun today since we are suppose to have rain off and on the rest of the week and weekend.

When I got back home this morning, I had to go take a picture of our blooming Bradford Pear tree to share:Our tree was small enough to not be effected by the ice storm we had back in January. Many around town aren't able to say that. MANY of the Bradford Pears (which there are LOADS of in our town) are missing half or more of their branches. So sad since they are SO pretty this time of the year usually.

With this beatiful weather, I am hoping to get outside with the boys this afternoon after their naps (hopefully we won't blow away - lol). Take them out in the backyard and let Drew run off some energy and Zach get his first time in the swing.

Remodeling Update: Well, John talked to the place about our hardwood for our floors. They said that the stain was drying and they should have it in by Friday. Which means we won't be starting on our floors this weekend either. He asked her what this was going to cost us in shipping (she had said something last time about trying to say us some on shipping, but he didn't know what she was talking about). She explained that it wasn't costing us any extra...she had just ment that they were trying to combine shipping to actually save us some more money. But that to do that, it would have to wait and be shipped Monday and we wouldn't get it until next Tuesday. John told her as long as we could definantly pick it up next Tuesday, he had no problem with waiting for it until then. So they are going to combine the shipping and save us some more :) At least there will be a small benefit to having to wait this long! So looks like we will not only be getting out floors in the last weekend of March, but our countertop should be in then too. Get it all done at once. Since everything has been pushed back another weekend, that at least ment I didn't have to rush to get the 2nd bathroom and the trim painted during this week - I can just do it this Saturday.

Speaking of painting, we are REALLY thinking that is what has been giving John his migrains. He had ANOTHER one last night/this morning. At least it wasn't bad enough to keep him home all day this time (he just went in about an hour ago). Sure makes it fun when he has those and I have to get the boys out the door to something in the morning. Means having to try and get myself and the boys ready in time as well as trying to keep them quiet in the process. UGH! We made it though :) And Drew has a new buzzed hair-do. He was so worried about the lady hurting his "busted head" when she cut his hair. With the freshly cut hair, sure does make his "busted head" show up well! :) Looks like it is just about finished healing, thankfully.

Ok, off to finish a few things while Zach naps and I try to entertain Drew so he doesn't get in to too much trouble and we will be able to go outside later. Hope you all have a wonderful Spring day!

Those photos are BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could take photos like that! I need to practise more I guess. We used to have 4 flowering trees in our backyard, but now we only have one cherrry tree. :(

So the raffle ticket is $100? Wow. Not bad if you win, I guess, and you could always write it off on taxes. I wonder if they will really get enough entries! That's funny that Drew has expensive taste! My brother/sister-in-law actually live in a 2 story converted barn house. It looks very barn-like on the outside only with red shutters around the windows. The inside is pretty cool, very country-ish.
