Yes, that is the back of Drew's head pictured above. Drew was in eating his lunch and I was just getting ready to pick Zach up off the living room floor to feed him when I heard a bang and screaming. I run in and there is the chair Drew had been sitting in tipped over on the floor and he was just standing up...still screaming. I went to check him and there was a little blood on the back right side of his head. Sure enough, he had busted his head open a little. So I call John as I am getting something to try and dab at it. Is it bad enough to take in??? I get it wiped off and it looks like it is stopping the bleeding. It wasn't too long..about an inch...and didn't look very deep. The problem is it is gapping open about 1/4 inch. John gets home and looks at it. We tried to put some ice on it, but of course THAT ain't happenin'! I had called the doctor's office right after I had 1st cleaned it, and the nurse said if it had stopped bleeding, it was up to us. After cleaning it up a little more and a closer inspection, since it was kind of wide, I called the doctor back. She says yeah, bring him on in since it is gapping. So at 3pm today we took him in...they cleaned it up more....yep, it needed some staples. So now he has 3 little staples in his head - they will be in there for 5 or 6 days. Poor little guy...but we HAD told him AND told him not to lean back in his chair!!! HOPEFULLY he will learn from this!
