Way to go Nikon!

I LOVE my Nikon D80. When I first started looking at DSLR cameras about a year & half ago, I was set on a Canon...mainly because it was what all my friends online had and could help me learn :) After research, John decided the Nikon was the one I should have instead of the Canon. No complaints here - I was just excited to have a DSLR! I have TONS to learn about my camera and hope to even get around to taking some classes one of these days (I learn so much better by someone showing me, instead of reading).

I was so excited tonight to read about what Nikon has coming soon....the D90! Have you heard anything about this camera? It is actually being discussed quite a bit and at the center of debate. It is the first DSLR to have an HD video mode! There have been so many times when I had my D80 and wished I could flip a setting and capture a little video. I have been known to take my Cybershot along with my D80 just to be able to capture a little video. We have a very nice video camera, but I don't want to have to drag along another lager camera, so it is very rarely used. This camera also features Live View, a larger view finder, a dust removal system, and the CMOS sensor which is suppose to produce images comparable to the D300. *drewl* *laugh*

Anyway...just had to share about this great new camera coming out...should any of you be in the market for one ;)

Please remember Drew as he start his first full week of school tomorrow!

Also remember the little Z-man. When we were out at lunch after church this afternoon, we noticed he started suddenly running a fever. When we got home it was 103.5! It has stayed in the 102-104 range all day. Understandably so, he is pretty misserable...fussy, sleepy, etc. We are thinking it might be roseola since we heard of a couple cases of it from our church. We are just keeping the Motrin in him and giving lots of lukewarm baths...and keeping a close eye on him. Looks like a long night ahead of us :)

wow, that's a high fever! Hope he's okay now!

Well, I'm already immersed in the Canon lenses so I guess I'll stay with Canon. I've like it fine except for this auto focusing problem in dim light / low contrast situations.

They've just announced the canon 50D which is probably comparable to the nikon you mentioned, only I don't think it does video -- that would be cool!

Wish I could afford to upgrade now, sigh...

You know someone at church last night said that hand foot & mouth was "going around". I don't remember who said it and if they meant at church or what. Maybe he got it at church. Hmmmm....who knows! Glad he's doing better. Jen
