Zach turned 8 months on this past Saturday...I really can't believe he is quickly approaching his 1st birthday! He is at a much more fun age now. I enjoy listening to him jabber at everyone and thing. And he is quite the speed demon with his flop/crawl. He even enjoys chasing Drew around the house now with that flop/crawl. What a riot it is to listen to them both giggling as they play together. He also continues to grow like a weed! He is currently in 18 month clothes and I have a feeling it won't be much longer before we have to move on to the 24 month ones! CRAZY! Everyone that sees him laughs and says Drew better watch out because Zach is going to be MUCH bigger than he is very quickly.
Drew had a good day at church yesterday during all 3 services(Yeah - finally!!!) :) Last night was also the final night to complete his AWANA book and he did it!! *cheer* He finished his Cubbie book even with starting late and missing quite a few classes for behavior problems and/or being sick. It amazes me how quickly that kid picks up learning his bible verses and they stick in there too! He still remembers most of the ones he learned when he first started AWANA. The pottying also seems to be going VERY well! I hate to mention it, because sure as I do, he will revert back. He did have a hard time on Firday for some reason (2 accidents during the day), but that was the first accidents during the day for almost of month. WOOOHOOO!! I think he might actually get to start preschool in the fall after all!!! He loves that I have moved some pants, shorts, t-shirts and underwear into a small plastic drawer system in his room so he gets to dress himself every morning. And most mornings, the outfit doesn't look to bad :) We still need to work on the buttons, zippers and snaps....think we will wait a little while longer before tackling the tying :) Most of his close right now (except for his nicer ones) are just pull-on items so he can get them on and off himself.
A little Drew funny last night. We were just leaving the evening service and John asked Drew what he would like for dinner. Drew immediately said Nakato...his VERY favorite restuarant (a Japanese Steakhouse in town). John explained that we wouldn't be able to go there that night, so what else sounded good to him. Drew said, "I just can't think of ANYTHING else! Only Nakato!" The way he said it was pretty dramatic...like he was just completely consumed with the thought of eating at Nakato and it was blocking out being able to even consider anything else for dinner. What a kid :)
Looks like I might FINALLY get to see my new little nephew this coming weekend!!! *CHEER* My brother, his wife and little Tyler are moving back to Missouri sometime in mid-June (moving back from Detroit, MI), so they will be staying with my parents this weekend while they house-hunt. So I think we will drive up there to visit with them all this weekend too :) It will be SO nice having them back in Missouri again!!
Well, John came home the other night and said that our floor installer is talking like he will come by sometime next Thursday (May 10th) evening to start doing some prep-work for coming on Saturday to FINALLY start installing all our new flooring. *CHEER* I will be SO glad to have my hosue back :)
Not too much else going on around here. Just trying to convince John that I need this

It's a Canon Rebel XTi and it is SO what I am wanting to replace my Minolta with!! I even found one on Ebay that includes one of the Image Stabilizing lenses that I would like instead of the lower quality kit lens!! *sigh* *drool* Some day maybe :) I am REALLY hoping to start studying more about photography and learn how to use all the dSLR features. And since my Minolta is on the fritz, it isn't allowing me to use those types of features on it any more so I can practice what I am reading. I am one of those people that not only has to read how to do something, but also try the steps out as I read. The hands-on experience helps things stick with me :)
Ok, I will leave you with a picture of the 8 month old:

OH! And he has 2 teeth now - they pretty much both came in at the same time - poor kid!!

I bought the XTI last November, and I love it! I'm going through the manual and trying things out for the second time. I've also checked out books from the library to learn the reason behind all the different manual settings. I'm trying to convince my husband to let me start a photography/videography business. I already do photo/video editing so it seemed like a good fit and something I could do and still be here for the kids. anyway, check out this site, she has some cool ideas: http://www.studiocportrait.com/enter.html Congrats on the potty training! Jacob finally started going #2 on the toilet a few weeks ago when we told him we couldn't go camping again until he learned to go potty like a big boy! So he's done really well, but has to wear a pull up at night.
Love the baby's teeth pic!
