My morning started with peaking out to see if we had gotten any of the flurries they were calling for - yeap & it was coming down pretty good actually (although the ground was too warm for anything to stick). Then it was time to get Drew breakfast & occupied while I got myself and Zach ready to go to the doctor's office (all while John slept in...hmmmm....must be nice ;) ). Zach just wasn't getting better, so I called and got him an appointment for 9:50am. When we got in to see the doctor, there sits Zach, grining away through the red eyes and snot at the doctor. THIS is exactly why the doctor didn't think anything was wrong with Drew when I took him in with his knee problems right after his 1st birthday. (We ended up making a couple visits before they figured out he had a bacterial infection inside his knee and needed emergancy surgery to wash it out!!) Drew could have always been SUPER fussy and crying his head off and as soon as we walked in the doctor's office, he would be laying on the charm and smile so sweetly at everyone. Evidently Zach is going to be the same way. So of course the first thing the doctor says as she is getting ready to check him out is..."Well hopefully this is just teething." In my head I am saying it is NOT just teething (I had checked his gums numerous times for any signs of movement). So she starts with his left ear....BINGO. Turns out he has an ear infection. OUCH! Thankfully it is just a single not a double. She said that pink eye and an ear infection often go hand in hand with a child. So the little guy is on amoxicillin. Nothing for the pink eye...she said the antibiotic would take care of that, but from what I have read that isn't true when you use amoxicillin so I will have to keep an eye on that. Here is a picture of the little guys last night. He is hard to get a picture of smiling (usually turns all serious when he sees a camera) and here he is feeling terrible and he gives me a 1/2 smile! lol

And even more lovely, when I woke up this morning, my left eye is sealed shut. Yep, I got pink eye too. Here I have gone my whole life up until having kids without ever having pink eye and now this is my 3rd time having it within the last 3 years! My cold seems to have turned into a sinus infection...so I guess I will be dragging the boys with me on Monday to my doctor to try and get some medicine to get over this junk. FUN - FUN - FUN!
Anyway, after the doctor's office, Zach and I swung by the grocery store to fill his prescription and pick up a few other things. Then it was back home for lunch (yep, the whole morning just went POOF!), my weekly call to my mom, and then a few hours of down time while John played an on-line poker tournament and the boys napped. By that time, I needed to get dinner started. After dinner it was painting time! So while John watched a movie and the boys, I finished painting the doors that needed to be painted before the new floors are installed. YES!! I am DONE painting for awhile!! Didn't finish until 11:30pm - but it is DONE! Ok, it did have my job decreased a little since I didn't have to paint the trim on 2 of the doors (John found out the installer is probably going to be taking it down anyway so we will wait and do those later). I successfully painted 2 coats on 2.5 doors and one coat (what I needed to finish from the last time I painted) on 1.5 doors. Now the only things to finish before the installer comes is cleaning some, removing the stuff from the rooms where we are getting the new floors and pulling up the carpet. We won't think about the fact that the front door and back doors both need to be painted as well as the frames for the new screen doors before those screen doors can be installed. It's too cold here to do that right now anyway :)
Ok, I think I will go put this tired ol' body of mine to sleep... that is if I can stop coughing long enough to sleep :) Night all!
