It's COLD outside!!!!! Got down to just barely above zero last night...and it is a bit warmer tonight (up to 27). There are still 23,000 people in town without power & now they are calling for snow to move in Saturday afternoon. Could have as much as 6 inches they think. Tomorrow and Friday they are call for highs close to 40 and they are hoping that some of the ice thaws before the next storm. Although they are saying thawing could cause more power outages as the trees thaw and bounce back into place they could hit powerlines. We shall see!! :) The public school in town called off classes until next week and there are still some businesses without power.
Not much going on here. Just trying to stay out of the cold as much as possible. John is working to get things done before he has to travel to San Diego next week. They are thinking they might have to try & get an earlier flight to beat the snow. Saturday we are scheduled to go have family pictures taken at JcPenney (since we cancelled them last weekend because of the ice storm). I guess I should sot down and figure out what we are all wearing since tomorrow is already Thursday
With the way Zach is growing, I should probably find something that fits him & then go from there. The kid isn't even 5 months yet and is already in 12 month clothes!!!
The above picture is of one of the trees in our front yard yesterday morning. The official record is that we had 1.5 inches of ice - not sure how much rain. It was a very sunny day yesterrday (although too cold for things to thaw). Today started off sunny, but became overcast and we even had some flurries. Again....we are SO thankful for a warm house!!
