I had a feeling I just might be hoping for too much for Drew to have two school days in a row in one week with great behavior. I got a call a little after 11am this morning to come pick him up. I'm becoming quite the regular in their office. He had kicked another student because that student had stopped and Drew wanted him to go and then when his teacher pulled him out of line to talk with him he had a meltdown and proceeded to kick her as well as the director. Drew said that the student had stopped walking because the teacher had told him to stop but that he didn't want to stop so he kicked him. *rolls eyes* They said up until this incident he had been having an excellent day and that he did REALLY well at their fire drill today even. WHAT am I going to do with this child!??! So he came home and had some time out in his room....lost his books and tv again...had no choice in what he had for lunch - was just stuck with PB&J...and had to go straight down for his nap after lunch. He will also loose out on going to our library's book sale tonight (they do this every year - have TONS of used books that people have donated or that are from the shelves that are for sale for REALLY cheap) and he will also have to go straight to bed after dinner. You think this would be getting old for him. You would THINK this would be sinking in that hard little head of his! He will also have to tell each person he kicked he is sorry for kicking them in order to stay at school Friday. Which means that he will be getting to school a little late Friday and that Zach and I will be getting to walk with him to each person so I KNOW he says he is sorry. I was hoping that by Christmas we might get through to him...but now I am beginning to think we will be lucky to by the end of the year!
Zach is continuing to struggle with all those teeth coming in at once and is getting up a couple times a night still. I think it could be because there are MORE trying to come through now too. Because of how red and swollen his little gums look, I would say he should have 4 more teeth within the next week or two.
Since our church had their missions conference Sunday-Tuesday evenings, there is no evening service tonight (VERY strange...they don't usual call that service off). So we will probably go visit a friend of John's who's wife just had a baby and maybe do a SAMS run. We have extra time this evening since we won't be going to the book sale now. I might even just send John to do the visiting and SAMS shopping by himself so I can get Drew in bed nice and early. Mean Mom, I know :) Hope all of you are having a Wonderful Wednesday!

Poor You! Poor Drew! Stick with it -- he'll get it eventually. Like, for sure by the time he goes to junior high! just kidding...
I cannot tell you how many times I heard the parenting advice: "be consistent, that's the key...always be consistent". I think you are doing an awesome job at doing just that!
"And let us not be weary in well doing : for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" Gal 6:9
Stick with it, you will reap a good harvest in Drew!
Your friendship is a blessing to me! **Hugs**
