But at least his timing to get back to trying to finish our house was good. John noticed the toilet in the master bathroom was leaking down into the basement late Thursday/early Friday morning. Thankfully it is over one of the two places in our basement that is not finished off - our "John Deere Room" as they call them in our area. So the area will be able to dry out quickly at there is no drywall to tare out and replace. Just another thing to add to Clay's list of things to fix while he is here :)
So Clay didn't end up showing up until around 2pm Friday afternoon. He gets the old tile in the kitchen all knocked out and the toilet in the master bathroom pulled up so he could see what was going on. Other than that he ran to get the supplies he needed for doing the rest of the jobs and then it was time for him to head home.
Saturday morning - Drew's party morning - he said he would be hear around 8:30am which was fine with us since I needed to get up and going that day. He worked on getting the new tile up in the kitchen (I'm still not in love with it, but it looks fine) and bathroom and spraying the trim.
Sunday morning - suppose to be here around 8:30am again - but when I got home from Sunday School, he had said he had only been there about 15minutes (and it was about 10:45am). Evidently the poor guy had gotten dehydrated the night before crawling around in the attic to clean out the area over our garage where he will be replacing the drywall that had gotten ruined when our roof leaked. So Sunday, he got the new tile all grouted and hung trim in the 1 bathrooms, down the hall and in the living room.
Monday - Clay came by in the evening after he everyday job (around 5pm) and worked for awhile. He got the toilet fixed and reinstalled and half the trim hung in the kitchen.
Wednesday - as in today - he is suppose to come by again after work to hopefully finish installing trim in the kitchen, laundry room and kitchen closet. He is also hoping to get the new drywall hung in the garage today. Then he will caulk the top of it. He is figuring he will have to come back again this Sunday (he is going to be out of town Friday & Saturday) to finish the drywall in the garage, seal all the tile and finish caulking. Then in a couple weeks he said he should be able to come back on a Friday/Saturday to install our glass storm doors and new shower door.
What all this means is that I might actually have my house back to some sort of order before we have a bunch of family over for the boys' birthday party on the 18th!! *CHEER*
And of course in the middle of all this we are getting our new couches delivered for the living room tonight.

So you agreed on a sofa style for the both of you? Make sure you post the pictures of it when it arrives! Love the pics of the birthday,we have been sorting through pics & came across the pics of the kids holding Drew when he was born! so sweet! Happy Birthday to the little man! Love ya'll!
Your backsplash is cute! So you have to deal with more remodeling! Whew! Well, at least you're getting it all over with at once.
