Mid-Week

Ah...yes...it is already mid-week which is very hard for me to believe! Time sure does zoom right past me now days.

Nothing too exciting around here. Just last minute preps for Drew's birthday party with his friends this coming Saturday and searching for a new couch. We spent Monday evening going to each of the furniture stores here in town in search of a couch John and I could agree upon ;) I wanted a cloth couch and he wanted leather....he wanted black leather and I said dark brown leather...I like a firmer couch and he likes a squishier one. You can see how this makes it a challenge to find one that will please us both :) We have been dragging our feet for a few months on getting out there to look at what places have for just these reasons. But with the boys family birthday party coming on August 18th, we are going to need the seating! So the search is on.

Tuesday evening was more errands and decisions (and compromises :) ). I did manage to get the front door washed off and am hoping I might get the frame painted tonight so it will be ready to put up the new screendoor.

And then here we are to Wednesday. See, told you a boring week. It has been fun this week catching up with a few more people I went to high school with. This past Saturday I mailed out a flyer with some of the reunion plan information and a list of people we are still trying to find/contact. Some of the addresses we had for people were just ones found in the phone book and have ended up being the wrong people and others have been the right people. It is sort of like a big scavanger hunt :)

This weekend should be fun and I should have some pictures to share sometime next week from Drew's birthday party with his friends on Saturday. Hard to believe he will turn 4 on Sunday!

Speaking of Drew...for some reason he is having troubles with potty accidents the last couple of weeks. He went from not having a problem even at night ... to waking up every morning wet, a few times from naps that way and even had 2 accidents during the afternoon! We have NO idea what has caused this to start happening again. And here we even took away his evening drinks....nothing past 7:30pm or so (where before he even had a cup by his bed to take drinks in the middle of the night). Makes no sense to us! I am beginning to wonder if he will be ok for swimming lessons and preschool.

Drew has this cute habit of saying "I amn't" instead of "I'm not". It cracks us up.

Zach update:

He is REALLY working on his standing by himself the past couple of days. I was so excited when John's mom captured him standing by himself on Saturday, but with all his practicing I have managed to capture a couple of pictures myself this week :)

We are hoping he gets this down good by the end of the month when I take him to have his 1 year pictures taken. We want a picture of him standing like we have of Drew to have framed and hang it next to Drew's first year picture.
