The Floors are ALL in!!

As of about 8:30pm Friday night, our floors were ALL installed! They finished laying the tile in the kitchen/laundry room on Thursday night (pictures below from then - before the grout)...
I'm REALLY not liking the color in the bay window area with the tile in...have to see about maybe changing that...

and then came Friday night to grout that area.

All that is now left to do is clean off the extra grout in the kitchen/laundry room, seal all the grout in the 2 bathrooms & kitchen/laundry room, move stuff back, put the laundry room door back up, and get our toilet in the master bathroom back in (for some reason they are having a time and a half with it). Of course we still won't be completely finished at that point...still need to have someone come in and tack down the carpet leading from the hardwood into the 3 bedrooms, paint and reinstall all the baseboard trim, find a new couch, paint the front and back door so we can install the 2 screen doors, install the new shower door in the master bathroom, go pick out and install the backsplash tile in the kitchen, pick-up and install the tile that will go above the shower in the master bathroom.....hmmm....then it will be time to move on to the yard work that needs to be done. Will we EVER finish with this updating!! lol

The boys and I have been "living" downstairs with all this work happening on the main level. I think Drew has about had it with the basement though :) He has been asking (more than once) when we will be able to play back upstairs. This from the kid that use to beg to go downstairs. And with the rain we seem to be getting everyday...it has been too wet to play out in the backyard like I thought we might get to do during this whole process.

Oh! And we found out today that my 50mm lens has been shipped!! *cheer* Which means I should have it early next week :) I really need to get busy reading up on how to use all the dslr features.

Well, since I have to be up to run and get some groceries, fill Zach's acid reflux medicine, pick-up Zach's pictures from JcPenney's and find some new tennis shoes for Drew tomorrow...or rather today...I think I should probably head off to get some sleep.
