The challenge posted by her CT memeber Becky was to look through our pictures and find one "we just took because we wanted to try and capture on film some special little moment to remind us…and if you can, here’s the catch: Try to find one without any people in it…or at least for the subject."
So here is mine (the cute frame was created by Nancy Comelab, of course :) )

This picture was one I took during our last vacation we took before we had Drew (our 1st son). We were able to spend a week down in St. Maarten in August 2002 (exactly a year before Drew joined us). There were SO many beautiful things about St. Maarten (like the turquoise water and perfect temperature), but one of the ones that amazed me the most were amazing sunsets. In the above picture I was trying to capture the light reflecting behind the clouds...not the usual colorful sunset pictures one would be use to. It made me think of God and His power - made me stop and think about the amazing world He had created. To this day when I look at this picture I can remember standing looking over the bay and feeling the hairs on my arms stand up.
I will also share another of my favorite pictures from our trip. We were able to take a boat over to the neighboring island of Anguilla. What UNBELIEVABLE beaches!! Anguilla is not commercialized and the beaches were a perfect powdery white. Absolutely gorgeous!
John was recovering from one of the many migraines he had on the trip, so I am sure he doesn't remember it as fondly. But I enjoyed the hour or 2 of snorkeling (my first time) and just enjoying the peacefulness. There were only a couple of other people on the beach. I would LOVE to go back and just stay on Anguilla for a week of complete rest.

What an amazing picture! Those sunrays are just incredible - great capture.
Wow, awesome photos! I'd love to hang them on my wall. You should submit them to stock photos or something. I wish we could go to St. Maartens! That would be so fun!
