The other reason I am looking forward to Friday is that it means we can move past this week and start a fresh one. Drew had another bad day at school and I got called to pick him up. He made it until about a 1/2hr before it was time to go home. He was snack leader today which also means he was line leader. Only problem was, he wasn't ready to go in from recess so he growled at the teacher. She told him it wasn't acceptable...he did it again...she warned him he needed to stop or go to the end of the line....he did it again so the other teacher came to take him to the end of the line so he ran away and proceeded to run around the playground. The director had to come out and get him in kicking and screaming. She tried to talk him down from his fit, but it was a no-go. So I got called. Even by the time I got to the school he was still screaming (could hear him as soon as I entered the building). He continued his fit all the way home (which is only about 3-5 minutes depending on the traffic)...and into his room. In all this fit lasted about a half hour. *sigh* It sure does get old. Just put him in his room with nothing he can hurt himself one and wait (through all the kicking, banging and screaming) for him to calm down.
**************
Little Zach hurt himself AGAIN! This boy! *shakes head* He was trying to push a chair across the kitchen floor. The leg of the chair got caught in the grout line and with his momentum he went flying face first into the tile. He bit into the inside of his mouth. After clearing all the blood way...he was left with a fat lip, good size gash inside his upper lip and a chipped front tooth.
It was even still swollen the next morning (and for that matter was still slighting puffy today)
Oh but Zach's adventures don't end there. I am feeling pretty secure since, with the new gate, he can't fall down the steps...I have all the outlets covered...all the doors to the other rooms are shut...even all Drew's toys are put up (b/c he lost them) so no small toys to worry about. Boy was I wrong! He comes in while I am attempting to make potato soup this evening. In his mouth are tiny little rocks! He got into the fireplace (a gas one that we haven't used in at least 4 years that just has a small hanging mesh screan that slides back and forth in front of it) and proceeded to snack on some of the little rocks (John says they are small lava rock pieces) in the bottom. I have NO idea if he swallowed any, but I got out quite a few of them. He seems fine, just wasn't happy with me taking his "snack" away. Well, there are no more in the fireplace now...John vacuumed them all out after dinner.
Needless to say I've been feeling a little stressed :)*laugh* I dread hearing what my blood pressure is at when I go in for my yearly physical in December. *cringe* BOY am I ready for Friday!! *laugh*

I can't believe it has been so long since I've read your blog, sorry! This month has just flown by... But you are not alone in the whole Raising Accident Prone And Rambunctious Little Boys thing. I'm finally learning to just shake my head and hope it's just a baby tooth that gets knocked loose.
