Well, there are still just under 3,ooo people in town who don't have electricity (2 weeks after the storm!!)!!!! Those poor people! At least today was pretty nice (I think in the 40's) and tomorrow is suppose to be in the 50's. Hopefully the utility company is able to get everyone back up by tomorrow evening since we are suppose to have another cold snap (single digits are possible at night next week).
This week has been pretty crazy for me. John was in San Diego,CA this past Sunday-Wednesday...so it was just me and the boys. Thankfully Zach is getting a little better about sitting. I think it helps that we are now able to set him in his Babee Tenda and he can play with toys. John had quiet the adventure on his flight out to San Diego! The leg from here to Dallas was fine....but then when they started off from Dallas to San Deigo they had some excitment. They took off and got about an hour out of Dallas when they came on and said they had to head back to Dallas! Evidently there was a problem with the a/c and it wasn't allowing the cabin to maintain pressure (or something like that) and they didn't think they would make it over the mountains!! UGH!! John said it was pretty warm in there by they time they got back to Dallas.
The boys and I had an uneventful time while John was gone. We ended up having to pick John up at the airport Wednesday night (I was very happy he got a flight back by 7pm instead of the original 11pm he was suppose to be getting back...wasn't looking forward to dragging the boys out that late) since his car was at the repair shop while he was out of town. It is all fixed now ($630 later *cringe*) and I have my van back now! *CHEER* Not that the boys and I go out much, but I just didn't like the fact that I couldn't go if I wanted to since I had no vehicle (John was having to drive it to work while his car was dead). Since John's luggage didn't make his connection at Dallas (his flight into Dallas from San Diego was running about 25 min late and he had to run to make his connection...just barely making it himself), we all went to have dinner and then had to go back to the airport to see if his luggage had made the next flight. Thankfully it did make it!
Really not much going on here....which is nice! I get to go use one of my massage gift certificates Saturday afternoon...ahhhh! Zach is REALLY starting to babble a lot, but still refuses to roll over. We have him back on regular formula since the hypoallerginic stuff didn't seem to make a difference. He seems to be doing a little better. He still has days when he does LOTS of spitting up, but at least it isn't every day any more. ***BTW - Carol, Thank you SO much for the link to the web site for mom's who have children with reflux ....LOVE it!!! I was up til about 1am reading the forums there and just barely made a dint. If anyone out there has a child with reflux, check out: http://www.momswearingpuke.com/ LOL I just love the name of the site!! ***
Drew is STILL struggling with the pottying. I really need to get back to making sure he wears underware during the day instead of a pull-up. He KNOWS when we needs to go, but usually just doesn't want to bother with it. Up until today, he was actually doing #2 in the potty every time, but wasn't trying with peeing! The only time he usually goes is when someone asks...and sometimes forces the issue about using the potty. Right now, the way we have found to get him to try and go without a huge fight is to make it a race. One of us will say we are going to beat him to going to the potty or that we are going to get Zach's diaper changed before he goes, and he can't STAND loosing so he races off to the bathroom. LOL Whatever works! (not that it works every time ... but most of the time it does
)
Well, I guess I should head off to bed. Night!
