Just finished watching another pretty good movie (this one was Bible based) - while the boys took their naps. "One Night with the King" is the story of Esther. I thought it was pretty well written and acted. It is worth watching just to see the costumes the actress who plays Esther gets to wear - WOW!
So while they are still sleeping I thought I would jump on here and say "hi." It has been a little busy around here. Around 2pm this past Saturday we received a call from John's dad and step-mom saying they were in Missouri now and should be at our house around 6pm. WHAT>?!??! We had no idea they were coming!!! They sware that they told John, and he is just as sure they didn't. So after the call, I frantically raced around trying to pick up the house. Thankfully this was a week that Julie with Parents-As-Teachers had been by, so the living room and kitchen weren't in TOO bad of shape. So they are around now...well not right now...they ran down to Branson for the day. John's dad is search for a job and his step-mom has been hanging out with the boys and I. With her help, we have managed to get my MANY picture frame all down and boxed away, as well as the bottom of the entry way closet. Trying to get stuff ready to begin the upgrades to the house. I still need to empty out the closet in the kitchen which is full of cleaning supplies and various other items as well as the laundry room. Then we need to get all the baseboards off and get painting! Well before we can paint we have to decide on most the colors still
The wood for our floors is suppose to be in next week and we are hoping to have them in stalled by mid-March at the latest. We have picked out our living room/hall color (I think
), but have yet to agree on any of the other room colors. LOL Still need to agree on the kitchen counter top (think I have John ok with a lighter color finally *cheer*) and then pick out the sink and faucet. WOWZERS! TOO many decisions ![]()
Yesterday was such a gorgeous 67 degree day, Drew was able to try out his new big bike he had gotten for Christmas and Zach's got his first ride in the stroller. Today is another warm one too. I think it is suppose to continue this warm spell until the weekend. Sure is great to be able to be outside and air out the house.
Well, Drew is now up and I think I hear Zach too!
