Yes, I am posting at 4:30am :) But since I am up waiting between a snack and being able to take my pain medicine I thought I would update everyone on how the surgery went.
My surgery ended up being pushed back from 8am until about noon since I was the oldest and their were MANY little ones that they had to do before me. Ah good old Spring Break weekend. They do the surgery in order of age so that the little ones don't have to wait as long for not eating before the surgery. So after arrive at the hospital at 9am for the tonsillectomy, I was able to head home around 3:30pm. I am VERY thankful to say that the anesthesia did not make me sick yet again...and so far the oral pain medicine I am on seems to just make me a little nauseated (I say this because I have been told it could still happen). So now it is just lots of water, pudding, jello & ice cream for me to try and sooth a sore throat. I'm praying that things continue to go as smoothly as they have so far.
Oh and I am also VERY thankful to report that Drew was excellent for my parents today! *cheer* That is a HUGE relief to me that he didn't deal them a fit. Hopefully this continues the rest of the week while they are here helping me out. Now if we could get Zach past whatever he has caught (yes he appears to be sick again) without needing to take him to the doctor. The poor little guys woke up Thursday morning running a 102.9 fever and it has come and gone since then - always boucing back ino the 102 range :(
And with that I leave you know to go take some medicine and head back to bed! Thanks so much for all the prayers that were sent up during my surgery - I REALLY appreciate it. *HUGS* to all of you.
