It didn't last long though...within 2 hours the top half had fallen off and by 5pm all the snow on the ground around it (on most of the yard) was gone. Today there are still 2 small part of it left. :)Updates on Drew:
We ended up deciding it was best for Drew to go ahead and remove him from preschool for the rest of this year. He was starting to not like school and he is way too young for that. I don't want him to become negative about school at 4.5! So I am working with him at home on Mon/Wed/Fri mornings on some phonics/math/etc. and then he will still get to work on maturing socially through his interaction with other kids at church and other activities I take him to. He also has an appointment with an allergist to check and see if we can't help him there - poor kid is getting a bloody nose more often again even on his allergy medicine. After we see the allergist (on Friday, March 28th), we will probably then get back to looking into the sensory issues (since the OT we talked with thought he had some) and then go from there. We have also talked with our doctor about the possibility that he is ADHD...but we aren't jumping into that just yet. I am really hoping we can find someway to help him so he is able to attend preschool successfully this fall. Now I just need to find a new preschool to enroll him at! :)
Drew saw the opthamologist on Monday (amid the rain/sleet we received before the snow). 2+ hours later we were told he has 20/20 vision, good depth perception, no color blindness and his eyes look healthy - they didn't see any problems. Since he hasn't had any more double vision (eye crossing) for the last week & half +, the doctor told us that as long as he doesn't have any problems again in the next 2-3 months, we don't need to go back to see him and it was probably just a fluke (caused by being tired...or something like that). So no glasses or eye patch needed.

Zach is still working on trying to get in his eye teeth - tops and bottoms. They sure are giving him all sorts of trouble - Poor kiddo. When we saw the doctor last Tuesday (Feb 26th) for his 18-month check-up, he was in the 95% for height and around the 75% for weight - one BIG guy! He is right on target for all the developmental milestones the doctor checks for and looks good and healthy. He is really starting to try and say words now - attempting to parrot what you said. He really didn't know what to think of the snow. Between the boots (he isn't use to hard soled shoes let alone boots!), the snow pants and the snow...I think he spent most of his time face down in the snow since he kept falling. He didn't last very long out there before I had to take him up for his nap...but I did manage to get some pictures of him in the snow at least :)

We had a very nice weekend (although John probably doesn't agree since he spent most of it driving *grin*). We were able to travel up to visit my family for my nephew's 1st birthday. He is getting SO big and is SUCH a cutie!! I think he was probably a little overwhelmed with all the people and the noisey kids - he is use to a nice, quiet, calm house. And what a BEAUTIFUL weekend we had weather wise! In the 70's Sunday and close to that on Saturday.

I think this weekend will actually be a calm, uneventful one for us. I need to get some serious cleaning done around the house and John might start on the final closet he needs to get the ClosetMaid items installed in...not sure about that though. This house really needs to be organized - especially before my parents come down to help take care of the boys after my tonsellectomy on the 15th (yep, on a Saturday). They will be staying with us the evening of the 14th through sometime the following weekend since the doctor told me I wasn't to do anything the first week after. I also need to do some grocery shopping and a SAMS run so we will have stuff to eat...well at least THEY will since I will only be allowed soft things like pudding, jello and ice cream for awhile.
Ok, Drew is up from his nap so I need to get off of here. Take care everyone!!

Now that's the perfect kind of snow -- the kind that last just long enough to build a snowman and take some cute pictures, and then melts away!
Sounds like things are going beter now. Good luck with the tonsilectomy! You know you're going to have to share that ice cream, so buy double!
