What a Week...or almost 2 weeks!

My goodness! So much has been going on that I have really neglected coming on here to update you all. Sorry about that.

I believe I left off with the diagnosis of Zach having pneumonia. Well, he appears to have recovered very nicely from this and seems to be back to normal.

Drew missed school Friday the 8th because he was still showing signs of being sick (coughing, runny nose, etc.). The plan was for him to start back last Monday (the 11th). Only thing was we ended up with over an inch of ice and all the schools in the area were closed. Around 5:30pm last Monday night our electricity went off and it stayed off until sometime early Wednesday morning. Around 3:30am on Tuesday morning the temperature in the house had dropped to around 62 and with one child just recover from pneumonia and another that had been running a 104 fever most the afternoon, we loaded everyone up and headed up the street to a hotel to stay the rest of that night and Tuesday night. By the time we were able to head back to our house Wednesday morning, the 2 boys seemed to be recovering nicely and were more than ready to have more than one little room to run around in. This years ice storm hit our corner of town MUCH worse than the one in January 2007...even though only around 5,000 people lost power compaired to last yeard 70,000+ without power.

In other news around our house. Every Saturday for the past month, John has been working on updated a different closet in our house and I thought I would share his progress...4 down and one to go!

The Laundry Room before & after

The boys' closet before....
and after...

Our Master closet after

And the kitchen closet during & after

All that is left to complete is the closet in the Zach's room/office.

Ok, seems I have a VERY fussy little guy tonight (Zach) that just doesn't want to sleep so I need to go and try to calm him down.

wow, your snow and sickness sounds like the story of my life! However, your closets are much better than mine, I must say. What a handy and energetic hubby you have!
